The Social Empowerment Education Programme Limited (SEEP) will be presenting to members of Parliament tomorrow on a workshop relating to the role of MPs in relation to extractive industries in Fiji.

During a press conference today, SEEP Director Chantelle Khan said that ensuring the transparency and proper implementation of laws in relation to extractives were fundamental.

"This will help to ensure that the rights of people are protected," Khan said.

SEEP works in partnership with 35 communities across Viti Levu and Vanua Levu implementing a Fijian community empowerment model that increases practices of democracy from the community.
