Parliaments currently use the Internet in two ways: to give information about the Parliament and to access the wealth of information now available on-line. Using the net to seek the opinions of voters would add a third use. It is clear from the texts sent in for this book that in many cases the library plays a major role in building and maintaining the parliamentary web site. There are a few examples of parliamentary research services making their studies available on the Internet.
