This handbook is a product of both the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) and the World Bank Institute (WBI). In this publication, parliaments and their role in fighting corruption get a central role. First there’s place for parliaments and good governance, followed by the causes and consequences of corruption. The third chapter focuses on how to control corruption and highlights the value of a multi-pronged approach. Chapter four shifts the attention to parliaments and coalition building. Tools and tasks play a crucial part in this. The fifth and final chapter examines how to build effective parliamentary networks.
