Little work has been done to examine parliaments’ experiences as representative forums or as bodies responsible for legislating the rule of law in crisis/conflict contexts. In cooperation with IPU, UNDP sought to redress this gap in the literature through a wide range of country-level case studies. This paper outlines the work being done by various organisations and provides a detailed list of the main issues to be kept in mind when carrying out research on this topic.
