AGORA has launched a Portuguese Corner dedicated to support the lusophone community. The Corner is a knowledge hub for parliamentarians, parliamentary staff, practitioners and civil society.

It provides easy access to news, videos and resources on parliamentary development in Portuguese.

The Portuguese Corner offers:

  • A virtual map linking to country profiles of PALOP (Portuguese-speaking African countries) and Timor-Leste.
  • A news section with relevant updates on parliamentary work and activities across the globe.
  • A virtual library with resources on parliamentary institutions, work and activities. Special subsections are available on gender, climate change and supreme audit institutions, among others.
  • A blog with the latest updates on workshops, trainings and best practices in the field of parliamentary development.
  • Pro PALOP-TL ISC Materials: A section with relevant resources from the the Pro PALOP-TL ISC project.
  • A video section with the latest videos of Pro PALOP-TL ISC.

Most of the Corner's content will focus on the PALOP countries of Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe as well as Timor-Leste.
