Today, the National Assembly of Guinea Bissau, with the support of the Pro PALOP-TL SAI project, is organising a conference about the role of parliaments in overseeing the Sustainable Development Goals implementation and foreign aid in the country.

Recognising that parliaments are vital to the process of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, the conference aims to ensure members of parliament are equipped with the necessary tools to oversee the Sustainable Development Goals and foreign aid. EU and UNDP representatives, members of parliament and staff as well as civil society organisations will participate in this conference.

Based upon the achieved results of the conference, the National Assembly and Pro PALOP-TL SAI will deliver a practical parliamentary guide which will be also made available at the Agora portal.
