A number of representatives of Parliament, while pointing to fraud and irregularities in the election said, if the IEC did not address electoral fraud, the country would spiral into crises.

They added that people would not remain silent for long and they would demand an explanation.

They also noted that the focus should now be on the early counting of votes to avoid any possible confusion and crisis.

Brishna Rabi, Member of Parliament said, “We continue to lay stress on the IEC maintaining a neutral stance while addressing reports of irregularities.”

The Afghanistan Electoral Commission yesterday announced the partial results of 26 provinces for the Presidential election, where Dr. Abdullah Abdullah was leading with Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmad Zai as a close runner up.
