Nepal govt decides to hold provincial and parliament elections in two phases

Nepal government has decided to hold provincial and parliament elections in two phases. A cabinet meeting held at Kathmandu today decided to conduct elections on November 26 and December 7.
After the meeting Minister for Information and Communications, Mohan Bahadur Basnet said that decision is taken on the basis of suggestions made by the Election Commission.
Earlier, the government had decided to hold both the elections on November 26.
The Election Commission had suggested that keeping in view the weather and time required for preparations, Provincial and Parliament polls may be conducted in two phases.
As per the new constitution of Nepal local, provincial and parliament elections needs be completed by 21 January 2018.
Two phases of local polls have already been completed and third and final round is scheduled on September 18.
