MULINUU, 19th May 2015:
The Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly (OCLA) will host the 3rd College Parliamentary Programme (CPP) on 26th May 2015 and the 3rd Youth Parliamentary Programme (YPP) on 16th June 2015.
The CPP and YPP are part of the OCLA’s public outreach initiatives to enhance continued connection and public engagement. These parliamentary education programmes aim to develop basic understanding on functions of parliament, parliamentary practice, legislative processes and procedural support services provided by the Secretariat.
The 3rd CPP 2015 will be held from 26th – 28th May 2015 at the TATTE Centre, Sogi where 35 colleges from around Upolu and Savaii have confirmed participation of 4 students and a teacher each to partake. The programme will culminate in a Speech Contest.
A 100 youth between the ages of 18 – 30 will participate in the 3rd YPP 2015 to be held from 16th – 18th June 2015, also at the TATTE Centre, Sogi. This programme will culminate in a Mock Parliament.
