Dodoma — The government has agreed to a proposal by Bukombe Member of Parliament, to build a natural Resources office in the district.
The MP, Mr Doto Biteko, said in the Parliament today that currently, residents of Bokombe District travel 96km to Kahama in search of services issued by the department.
He noted that there were many people like those engaged in beekeeping who go to Kahama in search of permits.
In his response, the deputy minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, engineer Ramo Makani noted that the office would not only be helpful to residents of Bukombe only, but the government as well.
He said in addition to improving supervision of activities under the docket, but the office would also enable the government collect more revenue.
