The Progresses of Cape Verde in combating gender-based violence GBV on three fronts:

- The recognition of the UNDP Helen Clark Administrator, of work being done in Cape Verde to combat GBV and Budgeting gender sensitive, in his speech at the Fourth World Conference of Presidents parliaments, in August 2015.

- The partnership between Pro PALOP-TL ISC and Women Parliamentarians Network of of Cape Verde (RMPCV) as an innovative impulse in the implementation of Law No. 84 / VII / 2011 of 10 January, which regulates measures to the realization of the principle of gender equality.

In the debriefing of the impacts of the activities of the RMP, the President of this network, Mrs Grace Sanchez, recognized the role of the Pro PALOP-TL ISC as a main financier of their actions in this field.

The He is She Campaign -16 days of activism against violence against women and girls. The President of Cape Verde, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, attended the launch of the campaign at the United Nations of Cape Verde.

The President has expressed its commitment to the promotion of He She is Campaign, launched this year under his leadership, during which has mobilized over 5,000 men and boys for this cause.
