This brochure builds on a previous study entitled 'Rules on Parliamentary Immunity in the European Parliament and the Member States of the European Union', published in 2001 by the European Centre for Parliamentary Research and Documentation (ECPRD) and aims to provide an overview of some of the core questions relating to parliamentary immunity and the way they are dressed in the European Union and by the European Parliament.
