Gender mainstreaming is a component of UNDP Project LAO/01/M01, the objective of which is to clarify and strengthen the National Assembly legislative process and its oversight functions. The development of a gender mainstreaming strategy within this broad framework will assist members to aim for gender awareness in their decision-making, improve the capacity of officials to provide gender-sensitive information, and ensure that personnel policies and practices are gender inclusive.
