The assessment examines the degree of independence and accountability of Georgia’s independent regulatory and oversight institutions and analyses how they interact with Parliament to exercise their roles and responsibilities.
It analyses Parliament's relations with five agencies – the Public Defender's Office, the Audit Office, the Communications Commission, the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) and the State Inspector’s Office, which was still functioning at the time of the survey.
Based on the international methodology, the assessment was carried out by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy with the European Union (EU) and UNDP support.
