As part of the 20th Assembly of States Parties, Parliamentarians for Global Actions (PGA) co-sponsored a side-event with Canada, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the United Nations and the Permanent Mission of Sierra Leone to the United Nations, on the use of the veto power to block referrals to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and how it is impeding the fight against impunity. The event was moderated by Ms. Melissa Verpile, Director of the Democratic Renewal and Human Rights Campaign at PGA.
