This paper was presented at the 5th Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative of the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific in Beijing. It discusses conclusions and recommendations of the conference in detail in several chapters. Chapter 1 focuses on achievements and new challenges in the fight against corruption in Asia and the Pacific. Chapter 2, then, examines the role of international organizations and donors in the region’s fight against corruption. Chapter 3 tackles how the business sector can contribute to the fight against corruption. Chapter 4 turns to the role of surveys in anti-corruption reform. Chapter 5 shifts attention to preventing corruption in disaster relief operations. Chapter 6 looks at conflict of interest in the public sector. The final chapter pays attention to international legal assistance in the prosecution of corruption.
