Confucianism in Vietnam continues to influence society today. As a set of social norms, Confucianism not only substitutes for the law in many aspects of life, but also contributes heavily to the conception of the law in Vietnam. Analysing Confucianism’s impact will help to understand better the role and limitations of the Vietnamese legal system and the Vietnam National Assembly today.
