In this interview, Hon. Bernadette Lahai answers several questions concerning women representation in parliaments, the role of the Parliament in a post-conflict state such as Sierra Leona, the main challenging aspects to the institutions, and the lessons learned from this. She also talks about the tools that parliaments have at their disposal to help foster basic education for all the children and how the oversight of governments, legal mechanisms and lawmaking ensure that all children can attend primary school.
