This document provides guidance about giving written instructions to the Office of Parliamentary Counsel (OPC) for drafting Bills. (Similar considerations apply to instructions for drafting parliamentary amendments of Bills.) Most of this document is devoted to a checklist of matters to cover in drafting instructions and a discussion of particular points in the checklist.
