Regional seminar on climate action and sustainable development for parliaments of Latin America and the Caribbean

The IPU and the parliament of Costa Rica will host a seminar for Latin American and Caribbean parliaments. The event aims to foster dialogue on climate action and sustainable development, and the role of parliaments in aligning national policies with global agendas. It will assess progress in implementing the 2030 Agenda and Paris Agreement and seek ways to advance climate resilience and sustainability in the region. The seminar will empower parliaments to engage more effectively in national discussions on sustainable development and climate change and prepare them for important global events like the 2023 SDG Summit and COP28.
