The session aims to build capacity and promote knowledge-sharing between parliamentarians towards identifying the different underlying causes of terrorism and violent extremism, and the range of parliamentary responses to affect enact positive change both through legislation and working with affected communities on the ground. The CPA exists to promote knowledge of the constitutional, legislative, economic, social and cultural aspects of parliamentary democracy, with particular reference to the countries of the Commonwealth.
