This report, provided by the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), examines the role of civil society in combating corruption. Although few such efforts are made, it is widely believed that only through the application of public pressure sufficient political will can be created to implement reforms. With this background, NDI started several programs in different provinces of Thailand. In this report, NDI gives an overview of these programs, tries to measure its impact, looks at the program activities, makes an assessment and concludes with some recommendations.
