First of four performance reports on the Yemeni Parliament, as a part of the Yemen Parliament Watch projects, implemented by the Yemen Polling Centre with funding from the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights. The report is based on events, interviews, results of sessions of the parliament for the period of December 2009-April 2010, and a self-assessment questionnaire answered by several Members of the Yemeni Parliament. Performance is based on the Parliament's responsiveness, its legislative capacity, its oversight of the Executive and its internal governance.
