In order to raise awareness about the role of parliaments in the field of transitional justice, the IPU and International IDEA organized, at the invitation of the Parliament of Burundi, a seminar for parliamentarians from Africa, a region particularly scarred by internal conflict. The present publication contains an abridged version of the presentations made at the seminar and the concluding observations of the Rapporteur of the seminar.
