Pro PALOP-TL SAI organizes Steering Committee for final evaluation and closure of the project 

A steering committee meeting organized by the Pro PALOP-TL SAI project will bring together about 40 senior officials, representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions, parliaments, national delegations and central services of the European Union, UNDP Country Offices, and governments from the PALOP and Timor-Leste. The meeting took place on 1-2 February in Lisbon at the Court of Auditors of Portugal.

Bissau, December 13, 2017. The first parliamentary code of ethics manual, prepared in Portuguese-speaking African Countries and Timor-Leste is now available online. The National Assembly of Guinea-Bissau with the support of the Pro PALOP TL SAI launched the "Code of Ethics Manual and parliamentary conduct with N'tori Palan". The Handbook uses the historical characters of the Guinean cartoon to discuss parliamentary ethics. The Manual is written in Portuguese and in Creole.

New Pro PALOP-TL SAI courses at the AGORA portal

AGORA has launched three new e-learnings in collaboration with the Project for strengthening technical and functional skills of Supreme Audit Institutions, National Parliaments and Civil Society for the control of public finances in the PALOP and Timor-Leste (Pro PALOP-TL SAI). The project is fully funded by the European Union.  "ICT and parliaments", "SDGs, Parliaments and Budgets", and "Parliaments, SAI and the Oversight of Extractive Industries".

Cabo Verdean Parliament Holds the Conference "Elected Dialogue/Voters in the Process of Consolidation of Democracy"

 

"Elected Dialogue/Voters in the Process of Consolidation of Democracy" is the theme of the Parliamentary Conference, which took place on December 9, in Cabo Verde. The Conference was organized by the National Assembly of Cabo Verde, in collaboration with the Chamber and the Municipal Assembly of São Filipe (Fogo Island) and with the technical and financial support of Pro PALOP-TL SAI, a project entirely financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP.
