This study on the parliament of Bangladesh discusses the structure, roles and functions of the parliament as prescribed by the Bangladesh Constitution and the Rules of Procedure (RoP) of the Parliament. It then analyses how the parliament performs in practice. The purpose of the study is to better understand the various roles and functions of the parliament in Bangladesh, analyse the key challenges constraining its effective performance, and identify possible areas of action to address these challenges.
