This paper sets out the Parliamentary Financial Scrutiny Workshop in which some parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and the general auditors of some countries participated. The paper defines and examines critical concepts of democratic governance (transparency, accountability and good governance). Through those topics, subjects like strategies to curb corruption, role of public account committees, relationship between the Auditor General and the PAC are examined. Benchmarking and standards to enhance PAC performance are finally proposed.
