This report carries out an assessment of the existing parliamentary practices with an aim to address shortcomings in the scrutiny process. It includes reference to international good practices and their applicability to Trinidad and Tobago. In relation to the budget and its implementation, this report is largely concerned with the contribution that the Parliament makes to the budget process.
