This study presents the Yemen Parliament as a case study, exploring the dynamics and mechanisms that facilitate or weaken the role of the Parliament in resolving or preempting domestic conflict. Since the unification in 1990 Yemen has had four parliaments (the last three of which were fully elected), all of which are under consideration in this paper.
